Peptide Lipid Interaction/ Peptide Transport (M. Dathe, J. Oehlke)
The modulation of protein functions, one of the main goals of research at the FMP, requires intracellular delivery of interacting molecules.
- Our research is focused on the elucidation of the structural requirements of peptides as uptake-promoting and targeting tools for attached cargos and lipid-based carriers.
- Furthermore, we are interested in the role of the lipid matrix in mediating transmembrane transport and in modulating selectivity of membrane lytic peptides.
