Education
Engaging young people
At the FMP, we are committed to engaging young children, pupils and university students in the science we do. These groups have different needs, and we are improving and expanding on specific programmes to meet them.
Interested in doing a PhD?
The quality of tomorrow's science depends diretly on today's PhD students. We take the task of educating them and nurturing the first stages of their careers very seriously. The FMP PhD Programme offers a lively and stimulating environment for students including many events with our Campus neighbour, the MDC. The FMP also hosts the Leibniz-Graduate School for Molecular Biophysics which has attracted a number of talented students over the years.

Science fun for kids
Modern science is having such a profound impact on our lives that even children who do not pursue careers in research should be comfortable with what science is and how it is practised. We have been fostering hands-on learning among kids and their carers, among pupils and their teachers. We collaborate widely with schools and are partners in Berlin's Long Night of Sciences. Our latest initiative is the FMP-ChemLab, a collaborative project with the Gläsernes Labor on Buch Campus. It will open its doors in May 2010.
