The FMP's research activities are organized into three sections:
This permits us to bundle compatible research themes and approaches and allows an efficient use of our technological resources. At the same time, there is a great deal of cross-disciplinary work, creating synergies across section boundaries.
As well as collaborations within the institute, FMP research is woven into local, national, and international networks, for example through cooperation contracts with the universities of Berlin for both teaching and research. Other research association projects include collaborative research centres, research training groups, priority programs and projects financed by EU funds. A particularly close scientific and organizational cooperation exists between the FMP and our campus partner, the Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine.
